[RFC] Onboard USDC and ETH Fleet - Optimism Mainnet

Hey guys I come as a member of the Optimism Grants Council, and a SUMMER Delegate.

I think its time to explore Optimism Mainnet, and start some dialogue on how to get this started.

We can utilize Moonwell, Aave, Sky for USDC and ETH vaults.

On top of that Summer can apply for some Growth Grants (I’ll DM team about this), with the next season starting late next week.

Sounds like a great idea! Optimism is massive and tapping into their user base will surely increase our TVL and overall value, and expanding our bases like this makes the whole protocol more robust in the long run. The growth incentive grant would be a sweet bonus on top, and we’re for it!

Thank you for this exploration @MasterMojo! Since Lazy Summer Protocol is natively deployed on Base, it just makes sense to consider further expansion into the Optimism Superchain Ecosystem. Now with the focus on expanding existing fleets with further strategies, and the ongoing process of enabling the transferability of SUMR token, I would definitely propose a parallel process focused on the OP, to further boost the narrative and expansion of the Lazy Summer Protocol <3

I personally extend my support for this proposal.
I was wondering the other day why OP wasn’t supported, as i was trying to deposit some USDx and had to bridge to a supported chain.

Optimism currently has a maturing DeFi ecosystem, with most of the mainnet apps already deployed.

While I would like to see OP Mainnet added, I’m not sure if it will drive meaningful TVL to SummerFi. As it stands, OP Mainnet is far behind competitors like Base and Arbitrum, both in terms of Total Value Secured, DeFi TVL, and Stablecoin TVL.

Also, with the lack of support from protocols like Fluid, Morpho and Euler on OP mainnet, it is a bit difficult for me to conceptualize how we would offer competitive yield in comparison to fleets on other networks like Base and Arbitrum.
