[SIP5.8] SUMR TR-WG Charter

1. Overview:

This proposal stems from [RFC] SUMR Transfer Readiness Working Group, focusing on formal ratification of the working group Charter.


2. Objective:

Define a credible, milestone-based, and pragmatic roadmap for enabling SUMR token transfers that are aligned with protocol maturity, ecosystem readiness, and DAO consensus.


3. Scope:

  • Develop a Readiness Checklist outlining the gating conditions required for SUMR transferability.
  • Deliver associated governance proposals (SIPs), timelines, and implementation suggestions.
  • Ensure broad community alignment via clear narrative and async updates.

4. Task Categories:

  • Coordination: ops, updates, scheduling, synthesis
  • Governance & Checklist: readiness framework, SIPs
  • Tokenomics & Liquidity: modeling, thresholds, emissions
  • Tech & Protocol: smart contract implications, feasibility, integrations
  • Narrative & Comms: messaging, rollout story

7. Operating Model:

  • Communication: Discord, Google Meet, Forum
  • Meetings: Async update from each group, Check-in/alignment calls
  • Publishing: Updates and final deliverables posted on the Forum and Tally
  • Documentation: Google Docs

8. Budget & Compensation:

  • Total of up to 120,000 SUMR
  • Up to 10,000 SUMR per contributor (community/external)
    • Excluding SummerFi team
  • One-time payment based on participation level
  • Paid from Lazy Summer DAO Treasury via SIP

9. Deliverables Summary:

10. Termination Clause:

  • Working Group sunsets automatically after delivery, unless extended.
  • If deliverables fall behind, governance may restructure the group.

11. Voting:

I would like to bring this proposal onchain during next weeks cycle (Wednesday, 30th of July 2025).

If YES - Ratify this working group Charter.

If NO - Do not ratify this working group Charter; continue with further discussion.

We have good progress on a lot of fronts so far. Tokenomics could use some consultancy, as discussed. I have contacts to two strong groups here, if desired. Let me know.

Hi @Jensei,

Thank you for including me in the Tech & Protocol role for this working group.

After reviewing the scope and participating in the first update meetings, I’m hesitant about my ability to contribute meaningfully. The current focus is on deep smart contract details, while my expertise lies more in data queries and insights, for which a need has not yet arisen.

With this in mind, perhaps it would be best to reconsider my candidature. It feels like the group might be better served at this stage by a member with deeper smart contract expertise.

I’m fully supportive of this important initiative and wish the working group success.
