1. Overview:
As per the RFC, [RFC] Recoup unclaimed SUMR tokens from RAYS airdrop, this SIP proposes the first of two steps to recoup the unclaimed SUMR from the RAYS airdrop (25.678M at time of writing).
From the comments, this SIP proposes to use the recently deployed timeguard contract, to restrict the execution until 23:59 UTC 28th February 2026. This will give the community a clear timeline and understanding of when the rewards will end.
2. Motivation:
As per the RFC, it is believed that given the SUMR has been claimable for over 1 year, it is now time to recoup any unclaimed, and put them to better use by the DAO.
3. Specification:
- Remove root at index 1 from the contract: (Address: 0x54a2ea2B…9A880B8dd | BaseScan)
- Use the
timeguardmodule to delay execution until 1772323140 (Feb 28 2026, 23:59 UTC)
4. Risk Assessment:
No new or additional risks expected from this SIP.
5. Voting:
A YES vote will remove the index 1, and any unclaimed SUMR will no longer be retrievable from the contract after the timeguard delay. A NO vote will not make any changes to the rewards contract.
