The Lazy Summer Governance Forum is the space for the community to propose, discuss, and implement updates to the Lazy Summer Protocol. These updates may include adjustments to risk parameters, protocol improvements, new asset support, and other governance decisions that shape the future of the protocol.
Ideation & Discussion
Have an idea or want to start a discussion? This is the place for you! Once a topic has been submitted, community members can share their opinions, provide analysis, ask questions, and debate potential outcomes. The insights gathered here can help refine ideas before they evolve into formal proposals.
Proposals
Ready to share a fully developed proposal with the community? In the Proposals category, members can submit structured governance proposals for discussion and feedback. Proposal authors can refine their ideas based on community input before proceeding to a formal vote.
Proposals that require protocol code updates will be moved to the Summer Improvement Proposal (SIP) subcategory once submitted for governance voting.
Any wallet that meets the governance voting threshold (10,000 $SUMR) can submit an on-chain proposal through Tally | Lazy Summer DAO (Official).
While not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that a forum post is created before submitting an on-chain proposal, allowing the community to review and provide feedback.
The voting period lasts for 4 days, ensuring ample time for participation. If passed, the proposal will be executed once the timelock period concludes.
Followed by a 2-day timelock before the proposal is executed.
Hello @Jensei – Governance Coordinator & Head of Community!
I believe this topic—Welcome to the Lazy Summer Governance Forum! —should be the go-to starting point for new members joining our community. Keeping it fresh and consistently updated is essential, especially now as we’ve made some recent improvements like shortening the voting period to 3 days and introducing new helper tools such as RFC validation etc.
Given the recent influx of new delegates on Tally , maintaining smooth onboarding is crucial. Perhaps we could enhance this topic by explicitly inviting delegates to introduce themselves—this would foster a welcoming atmosphere and keep engagement high.
Do you have a better idea for managing user forum onboarding? If that’s the case, maybe we should archive this thread to avoid clutter or confusion.
To everyone here:
I’d love to highlight my role as a dashboard creator—feel free to explore our governance data here: Lazy Summer DAO Governance Dashboard. If anything looks off or you have specific analytics requests, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Additionally, I’ll manually map delegator addresses to forum handles to enhance visibility of delegator stats on the dashboard. If you prefer to map your handle without creating a formal intro, simply drop me a DM here on the forum!
Feel free to tag me directly anytime for data-related support.
Looking forward to your thoughts and further improvements!
Very good point, I have it on my agenda (just haven’t made it to the top of the priority list, just yet) to edit/rewrite/overhaul the proposal templates, and “Start Here” category! Def. a valid and much needed bit to adjust so our forum onboarding experience is smoother
