[SIP3.5] Delegate Rewards Distribution (June)

1. Status:

Proposed

2. Overview:

This proposal continues the delegate compensation program first approved in [SIP5.6], this time applying it to June 2025. The goal is to sustain high-quality governance engagement and reward meaningful participation from active delegates across Lazy Summer Protocol governance.

3. Motivation:

Engaged and accountable delegates are essential to the protocol’s health and evolution. June 2025 saw forum contributions and diverse delegate perspectives across proposals, even though we did not see many onchain proposals.

4. Specification:

Column 1 Column 2
Rewards Token SUMR
Source of Rewards Lazy Summer DAO Treassury (Base)
Total Distribution Amount 151,999.99
Distribution Schedule One-time disbursement following onchain approval
Eligibility Period June 1st - June 30th (2025)
Distribution Method Direct transfer based on verified delegate wallet addresses

5. Risk Assessment:

  • Onchain vote will authorize SUMR disbursement from DAO Treasury.
  • Delegate participation data was sourced from the Lazy Summer Governance Dashboard.
  • The final delegate list and breakdown is publicly available here.
  • Any entity may only receive compensation through a single verified delegate address.
  • Suspected Sybil delegates will be excluded if verified by @Recognized_Delegates.

@Recognized_Delegates, should we establish a minimum threshold for compensation to occur? My only reasoning here is that in the month of June we had 1 onchain proposal. I would still argue that forum is active and there was work being done, just curious about your thoughts.

6. Voting:

I would like to bring this proposal onchain during this weeks cycle (Wednesday, 2nd of July 2025).

If YES - Approve 151,999.99 SUMR disbursement to eligible June delegates

If NO - Do not compensate for June; continue with further discussion.

Tagging @Recognized_Delegates and @rspa_StableLab for some thoughts as always, feedback welcome before submission to Tally.

Hi Jensei,

Thanks for the proposal. Generally I think the compensation makes sense even when there is few proposals. I don’t think number of proposals should be a metric we should seek to maximize.

Perhaps we can introduce a rule to only give out the bonus part of the reward if the TVL is higher than the month prior. That might help rally around growth initiatives.

A small note: the amounts in the specification and voting differ from each other. The one in the specification section is in agreement with the spreadsheet.

This is an interesting idea and I would personally be supportive of it! I am still vurious about what others think, but I do align with your opinion here.

oh yes! my bad, must have copy pasted from the initial draft spreadsheet (didn’t have all the data at the time). Thanks for pointing it out. I have now fixed the error in the post.

Full support. Ideally we arrive at a system with little to no governance and delegate comp is just for watchful eyes. And after some time can then be rescinded.
