GM Summer community!

We’re excited to host our first Governance Call to kick off discussions around the protocol’s future and ensure everyone is aligned on key governance processes. This will be an opportunity to go over the governance framework, discuss upcoming proposals, and address any community questions.

We’re aiming for the first call to take place in the afternoon (CET time) starting from March 4th. Please indicate your availability by reacting to this post or suggesting an alternative if needed:

March 4th - 16:00 CET

March 7th - 18:00 CET

Agenda

:one: Introduction to Governance – Overview of how governance works in the Lazy Summer Protocol
:two: First SIPs & Proposals – What happened and what’s coming next?

:round_pushpin: Call Details

The call will be hosted on TBD. A link will be shared closer to the date.

We’d also love to hear your thoughts on which platform would be best for hosting these calls moving forward. Drop your preference in the comments, Discord, Twitter Spaces, Google Meet, or any other option you think works best.

I think both Twitter spaces & Discord are good, as it is the easiest platform to join as outsiders.

I only have availability for the March 6th option.

Is the intention to record these calls for the benefit of community members who are unable to attend?

Hi Javier

Thank you for kicking off the community calls.

I personally support holding it on the 6th. As for the platform, I believe Google Meet would be the best option.

Also, once the date is set, having a calendar invite would be very useful.

Thanks for the reply @FBrinkkemper, we will take this date into consideration.

Yes, all calls will be recorded and shared with the community, along a written summary for those who might not find the time to listen to them.

Welcome, @0xnix. I also lean toward Google Meet, but it’s true that other platforms, such as Discord or X, can be better for outsiders to join. Let’s wait a few more days for more community feedback and then I will start a poll to choose. Thanks for the reply.

Amazing! I can do the 6th and the 7th, not the 4th.

We have good experience with holding X spaces.

  • recorded by default
  • open to anyone, even non Discord users
  • Easy to get partners to join (e.g Euler for the current discussion)
  • Share link to spaces and agenda here on the forum for documentation.

That said, Discord certainly works, as does Google Meet.

I am good for the 4th and 7th.

I do most of my calls on Google Meets, but open to whatever!

So considering the feedback so far, I think this are the 2 tentative dates.

  • March 6th - 17:00 CET
  • March 7th - 18:00 CET

Regarding the platform, everyone seems ok to be on any of them, so let’s also vote on it and then we can change it moving forward, if necessary.

  • Twitter (X)
  • Discord
  • Google Meet

Let’s decide over the weekend and announce date and time on Monday. I will also share this on social media for more feedback and users involved.

Governance Call Announcement

We’re pleased to announce our upcoming Governance Call will be hosted on Google Meet based on community voting results.

Meeting details:

Google Meet offers several advantages for our discussion IMO:

  • Calendar integration for easy scheduling
  • Built-in recording capabilities
  • Screen sharing for presentations
  • Automatic transcript generation

While we’ve selected Google Meet for this session based on your votes, we remain open to exploring alternative platforms for future calls.

We look forward to your participation and valuable input! I will be sharing this with the wider community, hopefully everyone is excited as we are
