Lazy Summer DAO is Now Live on DeGov

We’re excited to announce that Lazy Summer DAO is now live on DeGov.

DeGov is an open-source, AI-powered governance platform built on the OpenZeppelin Governor contracts. It provides reliable features for the governance process, such as creating and managing proposals, voting, and delegation. What sets DeGov apart is its AI agent capability, which enhances community engagement by automatically creating X posts for proposal updates. The agent can also function as a standalone entity, participating in the governance process by receiving delegations and voting on behalf of others. See an example proposal here: https://lazy-summer.degov.ai/proposal/0x95e5d80aedfae2bcd417a7ff4a8d6b4a70392bafec2848ac7c96c34f245d11f2.

What You Can Do on DeGov

  • Track Proposals Easily

DeGov offers a user-friendly interface for tracking proposal status, voting, and delegation. Additionally, we’ve integrated an X agent to synchronize proposal status and real-time voting data on an X thread. See https://x.com/ai_degov/status/1958176859507536377 for an example post on the DeGov.AI X Account. You can also connect us to run one under your own X account. This makes it easier for voters to track proposal status updates and encourages broader participation in the governance process.

  • More delegate choices

As a governance token holder, you can actively participate in the governance process by voting yourself or delegating your voting power to a trusted party. Previously, finding a suitable delegate required manual effort, such as reviewing profiles, assessing voting history, and understanding positions on key issues. Now, DeGov offers a new option: you can delegate your voting power to the agent, degov-agent.eth, which is listed at the top of the delegates list https://lazy-summer.degov.ai/delegates. The agent will vote on your behalf before the voting period ends. See https://docs.degov.ai/governance/agent/overview for details about agent governance.

  • Pin your favorite DAOs

DeGov supports over 15 DAOs, as shown on https://apps.degov.ai/. You can explore these DAOs and save your favorites for quick access. See https://x.com/ai_degov/status/1960991012916244602 for more details.

Welcome @passionn, and thanks for bringing this update to the forum! Awesome to see Lazy Summer DAO expanding its governance surface with DeGov. A few quick reflections:

This a cool and streamlined proposal dashboard with a clear improvement for transparency.

While I love governance experimentation and your addition of degov-agent.eth; I would encourage token holders to think carefully about when automation supports their intent vs. when direct or delegate-led voting is preferable.

Being part of a wider governance hub with 15+ DAOs is valuable context, especially as we approach transferability.

Two side notes/requests from my side would be:

  • Treasury don’t seem to be tracking accurately. Here I would suggest you to look at the Dune governance dashboard created by @techsqrt where at the bottom you can find accurate values across the networks.
  • Secondly, it would be great it individual @Recognized_Delegates - once logged in with their wallet and editing their profile name - would be reflected as their name in the main delegates page, instead of the wallet address - improving the transparency further.

Generally, I think this is another great dashboard for the DAO and am looking forward for further comments/feedback from other delegates and the Lazy Summer Protocol community.

Hey Jensei, thanks a lot for taking the time to share your feedback — really appreciate it!

Really nice suggestion. Indeed, the treasury module of DeGov still has a large space to improve. We already have a plan to polish it; see https://github.com/ringecosystem/degov/issues/285. The dashboard on Dune is awesome, and we’ll consider it while making improvements.

It’s designed in the way you described. Were you unable to see the profile name in the delegates page?

Thanks again for your thoughtful input — super helpful for us as we continue improving DeGov. Feel free to share more ideas anytime!

I think you are right, we just need to get all @Recognized_Delegates to update their profiles then

Very cool, and looking forward to the improvements and progress with your dashboard!

Great to see exploration of innovative governance tools. The clean interface and automated social updates makes governance more accessible for everyone.:slightly_smiling_face:
