[BA Labs] Stepping Down as Risk Curator for the Lazy Summer Protocol

Following the recent protocol exploit, the announcement that Summer.fi Labs is winding down, and the ongoing community discussions regarding the future of the protocol, BA Labs is stepping down from its role as risk curator for the Lazy Summer Protocol, effective immediately.

Current state of the fleets

Deposit caps for all Arks across the fleets curated by BA Labs have been set to zero. As a result, no additional deposits can be allocated from the fleets to these Arks. Keepers can continue returning existing positions to the buffers as part of the protocol’s withdrawal and transition process.

With deposit caps at zero and capital being returned to the buffers, the fleets are no longer operating under an active allocation mandate. BA Labs therefore believes this is the appropriate time to conclude its risk-curation role and leave the DAO with a clean slate as it determines the protocol’s future direction.

Remaining administrative actions

BA Labs will complete any remaining administrative actions associated with concluding the engagement. These actions do not constitute a continuation of BA Labs’ risk-curation mandate.

Any further changes, including resetting TipJar recipients, formally offboarding Arks, or moving the fleets to a buffer-only configuration, should be determined and executed through the appropriate DAO governance and operational processes. BA Labs remains available for a limited period to provide information reasonably required for an orderly handover.
