## **Summary**
This SIP proposes integrating \*\* @Maple_Finance Syrup USDC\*\* vault into the **USDC Mainnet (Lower Risk)** vault in Lazy Summer Protocol
- Extensive discussion and technical diligence have confirmed that Syrup USDC’s withdrawal and liquidity mechanics meet Lazy Summer’s capital-protection standards (see forum thread → [[RFC] Onboard Maple’s SyrupUSDC as a new ARK within the Mainnet USDC vault on Lazy Summer Protocol - #3 by BlockAnalitica](https://forum.summer.fi/t/rfc-onboard-maple-s-syrupusdc-as-a-new-ark-within-the-mainnet-usdc-vault-on-lazy-summer-protocol/157/3)).
- Adding Syrup USDC will diversify yield sources, create awareness among Maple’s institutional lender base, and increase protocol vault TVL as we go beyond standard defi lending protocols.
## **Motivation**
1. **Expand yield sources** – gains exposure to Maple’s real-world-credit cash-flows, complementing pure DeFi lending ARKs.
2. **Attract new user types** – Maple lenders and institutional focus helps to create awareness among a key user group.
3. **Increase TVL** – broadening ark exposure of lower-risk ARKs helps push the protocol toward its next TVL milestone.
4. **Strengthen partnerships** – deepens collaboration with @Maple_Finance , opening the door for future Maple-based strategies.

Having both Syrup USDC and USDT onboarded gives us a more complete RWA strategy footprint. Would also recommend that any update to $SUMR rewards consider alignment with [[RFC] Extend and Adjust Vault Rewards Emissions - #2 by chrisb](https://forum.summer.fi/t/rfc-extend-and-adjust-vault-rewards-emissions/181/2), to avoid incentive imbalance.
